Taffer’s Tavern, the innovative, full-service restaurant concept founded by leading hospitality expert and star of Paramount Network’s Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer, recently celebrated a record year of franchising growth with new franchise locations opening in the heart of Washington D.C. and the Boston suburb of Watertown earlier this month.

Taffer was on site for both the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies, showcasing his support and commitment to new franchisees, Marc Magerman and Peter Weber of 8G Hospitality in Boston and Washington D.C.-based Cuisine Solutions President and CEO Felipe Hasselmann. The new Taffer’s Tavern Washington D.C. is located next to Capital One Arena in the former Penn Commons space, while the Boston-area restaurant is located in the popular Arsenal Yards complex inWatertown. The restaurants successfully opened with five-star Google and Open Table reviews for both locations.

“It was exciting to see the Washington D.C. and Boston-Watertown communities come out for our openings and how well received the restaurants have been in their initial few weeks,” says Taffer. “These two Grand Opening celebrations within a week of each other represent the overall momentum we’re experiencing for the brand.” 

The first Taffer’s Tavern restaurant opened in October 2020 in Alpharetta, Georgia, followed by a second concessionaire location in 2021 at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, home to the Washington Commanders.
